From the small village of Santiago Matatlán, experience the most Sacred of Traditions, Sagrada Mezcal.
Created in the “Mezcal Capital of the World,” the main varietals are Espadin, Tobala, Tepeztate and a unique Espadin/Orange infusion called “Citrus.”
This Mezcal is considered a Joven or Young. It was grinded with a horse-pulled millstone and cooked in a pit oven. It was fermented in Oak wood with double distillation in a copper pot still, using a unique process from the region. Created by Maestro Mezcalero Octavio Jimenez.
Tradition & Romanticism
The ancestral mezcal-drink was known for healing and spiritual powers, used in the past by the nobles to gain understanding of the universe. Our traditions adapt to the times but still have the same essence that immortalizes them and makes them sacred. Distilled with orange and honey in the heart of the mountains, rumors arise that the mountains speak to you to bewitch your heart with their beauty.
Organic Artisanal Mezcal
Artisanal organic mezcal, made with agave tobala, an organic agave from the Sierra, which grows at more than 1300 meters (about 4300 ft) above sea level. Our agaves mature for 10 years before being processed, at which point they release the perfect sugars to reach the sacred flavor.
